Capacity Building
Coordinator
Contractor position, $19.04 per
hour, full time for 3 months, October-December 2008, Olympia, WA
Partners in Prevention Education
provides support services and prevention education to street dependent youth
and young adults thirty and younger who have lived through sexual and/or
domestic violence. Utilizing a Positive Youth Development model, PiPE staff
receives direction from community members and the youth and young adults we
serve. While PiPE does provide social services, we are primarily a social
change organization.
This position is a currently a
consultant position, with the possibility of becoming a staff position pending
securing funding. Some evenings and weekends required. The position
is funded through a City of Olympia grant and responsible for the continuation
of the following responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with the
PiPE Board of Directors on its organizational development plan.
- Plan, organize and
implement one major fund-raising event that will be integrated into the
annual fiscal planning in future years.
- Cultivate new donors and
have demonstrable increased donor base.
- Write developmental
proposals and direct mail solicitations in creative ways that can be
integrated into the "public image" of PiPE for future use by the
organization.
- Develop relationships
and gain new corporate sponsors for PiPE.
- Seek and prepare grant
proposals for projects consistent with the mission of PiPE.
