People who support our mission say they derive great satisfaction from their generosity and would like to do more. Here are a few ideas that you might not have considered that may give you some tax advantages.
Bequests
Donors may give by leaving a charitable gift in a will or a trust. Bequests are a popular type of planned gifts. Anything you leave to a charitable organization will reduce the size of your taxable estate while helping a great cause. You can leave a specific bequest of a specified sum of money or a particular piece of property to our organization. Other options include leaving a percentage of you estate or a percentage of the residue to Partners in Prevention Education after making provisions for family and friends.
Cash
Nothing could be easier than making a gift of cash to a charitable organization. It is the most common gift and the one you probably think of first. All cash donations up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income are deductible if you itemize in the year of contribution. Any excess deductions can be carried forward for the next five. To donate make checks out to: Partners in Prevention Education and write "donation" in the memo line. Mail to: PiPE c/o 1320 8th Avenue SE, Olympia, WA. 98501
Foundation Builders supports Partners in Prevention Education by encouraging donors to support our programs and services by donating on a regular basis.
